In my walk with God throughout the years; in all my trials, ups and downs, moments of testimonies and victory; there is one place where I find wholeness, a place where the real me in Christ blossoms, a place that reminds me without a doubt of my first love, a place where nothing matters to me but One, a place where mountains are brought low and the love of God just sweeps me off my feet, a place where I can reach the heavens and the glory of Jesus is manifest in every single breath of mine; it is a place brought a birth by the wings of praise, a praise that rises from the depth of love and reverence, a call for togetherness and oneness with Him, a revelation of the infinite and perfect beauty of our God, a revelation of His strength, Power, Might and the glory of His majesty- Praise, Praise, Praise the Lord!!!
There had been times I felt the weight of heavy burdens on my shoulders- burdens too heavy for me to carry, burdens I knew only God could carry for me. In moments like that, I turn to God, I pour out my heart in praise, I break down in tears before God, so He can build me up again. And before you know it, the weight of the burden gets lifted, my whole-body, spirit and mind light as a feather. At this point I see Jesus alone and His love for me.
I don’t know what heaviness you are carrying today, the confusion, the cross-roads, the questions no one seem to have an answer to, the desire in your heart; but I can confidently tell you, that only one thing matters- Gods love for you. His love for you is all you need, it is able to take away every burden, every sickness and usher you into the fullness of life in Christ. So, rejoice in Him today and watch him glorify his name in you, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people.
Psalm 150: Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary, praise Him in the firmament of His Power. Praise Him for His Mighty acts: Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and Harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high-sounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
We’ve been created to be joined to God, to have a relationship with and enjoy His love. In praise we affirm our commitment to this relationship, we tell God we are all in. when you are all in, there’s no holding back- and when there’s no holding back. That’s when your heart and every single part of you sings out loud, so that the sound of your praise soars above and overshadows every other voice in your life. In praise, your soul and spirit flourishes in the abundance of eternal life. how? when you open up your heart, Jesus comes and dwells in you, and He is eternal life. Singing out loud and praising sing God isn’t something you do only when you are in the mood for it, it should be a life style, so that you dwell continuously in His presence.
The Bible in Exodus 15: 11 describes God as “who is like unto You, oh Lord, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” do you remember how the wall of Jericho fell down flat (Joshua 6:1-27)? Do you remember how the Lord slew the children of Moab and Ammon? In 2 Chronicles 20:22 “and when they begin to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir: which was against Judah; and they were smitten.” Praise is a very powerful weapon of warfare! Because God delights in them that rejoices in Him, and He is ever ready to dry up seas for their sake.
