Do you know your worth? Sometimes it isn’t unusual to momentarily or in the long term, either retrospectively or introspectively, forget who we are and how precious we are as individuals in the sight of God. Scientific evidence proves the spectacular uniqueness of every single human being. Take for example details like- in a world filled with billions of people no two finger prints are alike in every detail, no two person looks completely alike, no two persons ever behave or process information completely the same way. What does this tell you? your uniqueness is a demonstration of God’s love for you, it deeply relates that God has a keen interest in you and everything that concerns you. And that is why He made you in His image and likeness, so that you are irreplaceable- there isn’t and will never be any two you in the world; You are a Master Piece of love. it is written in Psalm 139:14 “I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well.” This scripture implies that you are a reason of praise. Have you ever looked at you and said “wow! Lord I thank you for me?” it is noteworthy to acknowledge that in life we face challenges and wallowing in dark times, we find ourselves actively searching for a reason to praise God. How about just look at you, connect with the things that makes you You, including those admirable traits and those weakness of yours that’s totally a part of being human. Enjoy and rejoice in the privilege that you don’t have to do life on your own (Psalm 121), why? Because you didn’t just magically appear into existence- there is One who designed every detail of you, one who’s genuinely interested in winning your Heart, One who will always Love you- Jesus. God openly proclaimed His love for you when Christ offered Himself as an atonement for our sin. Its never been heard in any other religion that a God should offer Himself as a Sacrifice for the atonement for sin and restoration of life; it is usually the other way around. But John 3:16 reveals your worth in the eyes of God “for God so loved the world (you and I) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomsoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Christ came to take away all your suffering, pain, sadness, shame, condemnation, sicknesses, diseases, loss, low self-esteem, failures, addictions, etc. He came to show you your worth, to increase your perception of self and value, so that you can see yourself the way He sees you. it is written in Psalm 50: 2 “out of Zion(YOU) the perfection of beauty, God shines forth”- Hallelujah!
So, when next you begin to forget your worth, or situations around you makes you begin to question your worth, let the sacrifice of Christ on the cross of Calvary be a vivid reminder that you deserve better; that you are a child of the Most High God; you are of a royal lineage; You’ve been chosen to demonstrate the power, love and glory of the Lord upon the face of the earth; you are not ordinary, the Spirit of the Lord dwells in you; You are a person of high value, so valuable that God stepped forward to pay the price for your sins, that you might be saved. Always remember that your worth is deeply embedded in Gods unconditional love for you and that. is Priceless. And now, arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1) Amen.
LET US PRAY
Oh Lord, we are so grateful for giving yourself for us and how You redeemed us from the kingdom of darkness into Your marvellous light. We thank You for your everlasting love and faithfulness. Lord today we open our hearts, proclaiming our faith in you, even as we walk in salvation. In the name of Jesus, we awake in the consciousness of our identity and reclaim our worth as children of God. We refuse and exercise authority anything which exalteth itself against the word of God over our lives. We believe, and we receive Gods promises for us and so it is. Amen.
